CM KP offers investment opportunity to Malaysia

Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Pervez Khattak has said that the provincial government is offering attractive opportunities for foreign investment and Malaysian investors should also come forward to exploit the investing potentials especially available in energy, minerals and tourism sectors of the province.

He made this offer to the High Commissioner of Malaysia, Dato’ Dr. Hasrul Sani Mujtabar, who called on him at the CM’s Secretariat here Wednesday.

The high commissioner was accompanied by his wife while the Additional Chief Secretary of KPK, Dr. Hamad Awais Agha and Principal Secretary to the CM, Dr. Shahzad Khan Bangash were also present.

Apprising the high commissioner of Malaysia of the reforms introduced by the present PTI-led government, Khattak said that his government was pursuing the agenda of change following the aspirations of youth of the province who voted the PTI to power. He said that most public service as well as economic sectors had been reformed and new legislation was enacted and policies framed to reduce the public sector influence on the service delivery system and involve private sector to operate the mechanism with a dominant role. He told that such drastic reforms influenced certain independent performance monitoring organizations to place the present KP government at the highest level of governance among all provinces of Pakistan.
