An anti-corruption team on Tuesday carried out a raid at Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Center (JPMC) and seized the record of all medicines and instruments purchased during the last two years.
A JPMC’s administrative official informed that an anti-corruption team conducted a raid at the hospital and seized record of medicines and instruments purchased during the last two years.
A seven-member team, headed by assistant director, carried out raid at the hospital and investigated the authorities over the purchase of medicines and medical instruments purchased in the past two years.
Deputy Director Admin & Focal Person, JPMC, Dr Jawaid Akhter Jamali, when contacted, confirmed that the anti-corruption team conducted a raid and seized the record of purchased medicines.
On the other hand, the anti-corruption team had also conducted raid in Sindh Government Hospital Korangi-5 and seized the record of drugs. Reliable sources at the hospital confirmed that an anti-corruption team had carried out raid in healthcare and seized the record of medicines.
Eelier, the anti-corruption teams had also conducted separate raids in Civil Hospital Karachi and Sindh Government Hospital Liaquatabad few days ago. The teams seized the record of medicines in these healthcares.
