Dr Ijaz Rehman has said he will defend himself if Reham Khan, his ex-wife, goes to British courts against him.

Talking to this news agency from London on Tuesday, Rehman said he did not receive any legal notice from his ex-wife but he did receive an email.

Dr Rehman said he would defend himself in the court of law if Reham sued him, saying, “She knows what she said is not true. I do not want to get involved in mudslinging, but I will defend myself vigorously.”

He further said he had asked Reham to apologise for the slur to his good name and character.

Dr Rehman strenuously denied all the allegations, saying, “Reham is a liar and pretends to be living Islamic lifestyle to win sympathy from the Pakistani public while the fact is otherwise and can be seen on the internet.”

“As a divorcee, she is mistrusted by religious conservatives in Pakistan. She covered her head to pretend an Islamic woman but could be judged sooner or later when she would be hosting a TV show,” concluded Dr Rehman who is a consultant psychiatrist in Lincolnshire.
