Unknown men gunned down two policemen late on Thursday night at Railway Workshop Road and fled after committing the crime.
The two cops of Ratta police station were returning home after duty. The injured policemen were rushed to Civil Hospital where both of them succumbed to their wounds during treatment. They were identified as Yasin and Tanwir.
The CCPO Rawalpindi expressing deep grief over the murder of the two cops has vowed to bring the culprits to book and awarding exemplary punishment to them.
