The villagers of Musafir Mahar Union Council Sehwani held a protest demonstration in front of Shikarpur Press Club on Friday against occupation of their agricultural land.

Speaking on the occasion, Shahnawaz Khan Mahar, Noorul Din Mahar, Ghulam Mustafa Mahar and Saif Mahar allegedly said that Najeeb Mahar, newly-elected union council chairman Sehwani, and the son-in-law of Pakistan Muslim League-Functional (PML-F) MNA Ghous Bakhsh Khan Mahar had occupied five acres of agricultural land of Noorul Din Mahar, the maternal uncle of PPP leader Shahnawaz Khan Mahar on pretext of contesting local government election against him.

They further said the man went to concerned police station Bhachal Bhayo and Deputy Superintendent of Police [DSP] Lakhi Ghulam Shah for justice but police failed to take any step against influential persons.

On the occasion, they demanded of the higher authorities and Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Shikarpur Nasir Aftab Khattak to take notice of the matter and provide justice; otherwise, they threatened to extend their protest movement against Najeeb Mahar and also announced to knock the door of court for justice.
