Federal Bureau of Revenue (FBR) on Friday froze accounts of Pakistan International Airline (PIA) over non-payment of taxes.
According to our correspondent, Large Tax Unit (LTU) of the federal revenue agency froze the accounts of national flag carrier over non-payment of Rs.2.2 billion taxes.
“PIA collected Rs.1.5 billion Federal Excise Duty on tickets but not paid to FBR,” an official said.
He said PIA has yet to pay Rs.700 million income tax to the FBR.
