IG claims arrest of 40 hardened terrorists during current year under NAP

Inspector General of Police Punjab Mushtaq Sukhera has said that at least 40 hard core terrorists and 69 robbers have been arrested during the current year as part of the National Action Plan.
In a statement issued here on Thursday, he said the crime graph has declined in the province following the implementation of the NAP. “Terrorism has declined remarkably. Several terrorists have been arrested during different raids besides registering 574 cases against people for printing hate material,” the IG said.
He said that a remarkable drop has been witnessed in murder, attempt to murder, robbery and kidnapping for ransom cases as compared to the previous year.
