The Korejo community on Thursday blocked Larkana-Sukkur road near Saidudero on Thursday morning in protest against police for their failure to recover a four-year boy Sahil Korejo who disappeared eight days ago.

Due to blockade, all kinds of traffic came to a standstill and nobody was allowed to cross the barriers, not even the vehicle of law enforcement agencies which arrived on the occasion from Shikarpur as the enraged protestors refused them to move forward. However, they returned and used another route to reach Larkana.

Worst affected were those who were taking their patients to major hospitals and traveling with womenfolk. Even motorcyclists and donkey carts were not allowed to move due to which all the people remained stuck up as Naundero police made no efforts or to come to the rescue of both sides.

A large number of vehicles were seen standing in long queues along both sides of the road as this national highway is a very busy road. Zahoor, Shahnawaz, Ghani Korejo and others told media that they had been protesting since last eight days as their kid had not yet been recovered. They said four days ago they staged a sit-in in Naundero and Larkana along with their women and children where SSP Kamran Nawaz had assured them that their boy would be recovered within two days but he failed to honour his commitment.

ASP City Larkana Tauqeer Ahmed Naeem negotiated with the protesters and persuaded them to end their sit-in but they refused to give in. After four hours long sit-in, they gave him 24-hours ultimatum to recover the abducted boy otherwise they warned of again blocking the road.
