Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz leader Ashraf Gujjar on Wednesday dropped a bomb on his party alleging that all leaders of PML-N are heads of land mafia groups in the federal capital.

Addressing a press conference, Ashraf Gujjar, Secretary General PML-N Islamabad Malik Shujaaur Rehman and Adnan Kiani appealed to the Interior Minister Chaudhary Nisar Ali Khan to investigate the issue through FIA in order to eradicate crimes from the capital.

Gujjar claimed that school teachers, taxi drivers and clerks after becoming MNAs have become a strong land mafia with financial interests running in billions of rupees. He said that he had discussed the issues of partiality and favouritism in the local bodies’ elections with Asif Kirmani and other high-ups of the party but tickets were issued to land grabbers and their supporters.

“Amjad Ayub was member of the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) and his brother, who is brother-in-law of Malik Abrar, was issued ticket. Chaudhry Matloob is an absconder and was issued ticket because he is the uncle of Tariq Fazal,” he added.

He further claimed that brother in law of Anjum Aqeel was also issued ticket who illegally acquired land of CDA in I-14. Another ticket was issued to Sajid Abbasi who is facing a murder case, he added saying that Dr Tariq Fazal has established a criminal outfit comprising Afghanis and he is allegedly grabbing land through them.

He claimed that Afghan citizens who are living in Banigala, Lehtrar, Sehala, Terlai and posh sectors of the capital are members of the force of Dr Tariq Fazal. While appealing to the high ups to take notice of the issue, he said the prime minister house has turned a blind eye to the situation.
