Pakistani jets garner interest at Dubai air show

Pakistani made light trainer Super Mushshak aircraft of Pakistan Air Force (PAF) and JF-17 thunder fighter has garnered interest of a number of countries in buying aircraft at the Dubai air show.

“The participation of PAF in this air show is a matter of great pride for us and many countries in general and Islamic countries in particular have shown interest in the JF-17 Thunder aircraft.” said Air Chief Marshal Sohail Aman.

The Super Mushshak aircraft of PAF has been put up for static as well as aerial display in the Air Show, a PAF spokesman and air commodore S. M. Ali told local media.

The Pakistan Pavilion was set up by Pakistan Aeronautical Complex, Kamra.

The Dubai air show was inaugurated by Sheikh Mohammad bin Rashid Al-Maktoum, Ruler of Dubai and Prime Minister of United Arab Emirates (UAE).

From Pakistan, Air Chief Marshal Sohail Aman, Chief of Air Staff, PAF along with Khawaja Muhammad Asif, Federal Minister for Defence and Rana Tanveer Hussain, Federal Minister for Defence Production, attended the opening of the air show .

A large number of delegation from different countries as well as Air Chiefs of a number of Air Forces were also present at the air show.

 

While talking to the media during his visit to Pakistan Pavilion the Air Chief said that Pakistan, in spite of meagre resources, is successfully fighting against the menace of terrorism.

Aman said “after the successful conduct of the anti terrorist operations, Pakistan is being viewed as a role model in the fight against terror.”

He said “these operations have also resulted in the betterment of law and order situation in the country.”

The Air Chief also called on Air Vice Marshal, Ibrahim Nasser Mohammad Al Alawi, Commander UAE Air Force & Air Defence and discussed matters of professional interest.
