National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Karachi has arrested 3 accused persons namely Sohail Adeeb Bachani, Additional Secretary Rehabilitation, (Ex-LAO RBOD and Ex-DCO Jamshoro) and Niaz Hussain chachar, the then Circle officer, Kazi Mushtaq, Ex-land acquisition officer ACE Jamshoro who were involved in corruption and embezzlement of more than Rs100 million by making illegal payments of land compensation to different people in RBOD project Jamshoro.
Sohail Adeeb Bachani had admitted his guilt during inquiry proceedings and offered to return his share of ill-gotten money through VR option to the tune of Rs. 8.78 million.
The accused Niaz Hussain Chachar was Circle Officer Anti-corruption Kotri and direct beneficiary of embezzled amount drawn through fake compensations. The major portion of compensation amount was deposited into both bank accounts of another accused Mukhtiar Ali. After which the amount was transferred to the personal bank account of Niaz Hussain.
