Punjab Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif presided over a meeting on Wednesday to review and finalized arrangements for the holding of international seminar on business opportunities in the province.
Addressing the meeting, the chief minister said that the holding of the international seminar in Punjab regarding promotion of foreign investment was of vital importance and would increase prospects of investment in different sectors across the province. He said that the international seminar would prove a milestone in the progress and prosperity of the province.
The chief minister said that Punjab is a very important province with regard to investment and there are vast opportunities for investment in agriculture, livestock, energy, mining, infrastructure, housing and other sectors. He said that all out facilities were being provided to local and foreign investors on priority basis. He said that due to development of infrastructure and an atmosphere conducive to business, investment in the province was increasing with several foreign companies making the investments.
Sharif directed that top-notch arrangements should be made with regard to the international seminar and that alternative traffic arrangements should also be made for foreign delegates. Senior officials of various departments gave briefings on the arrangements for the seminar on business opportunities.
