The Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) will return to the National Assembly and Senate on November 2, Finance Minister Ishaq Dar told a private news channel on Thursday.

Dar said that 10,600-megawatt projects were being completed, adding that improvement in economy and power generation were top priority of the ruling Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz.

About the withholding tax issue, the minister said he had fulfilled the promise with the traders by resolving the issue.

According to Dar, over 200,000 people have been brought under the tax net during the past two years. “The country needs tax reforms,” added the minister, as he called for forming the charter of economy.
