24 more dengue cases emerge in Pindi, six in Multan

The number of dengue cases on Thursday soared to 2900 as at least 24 more cases were reported in Rawalpindi.

Due to the daily increasing number of patients, beds in hospital wards have fallen short. Patients admitted in the metropolis hospitals include a large number of children and women.

An alarming situation has also been seen as doctors and paramedics have devoted their complete attention towards the dengue sufferers, neglecting other patients.

Meanwhile, Chief Secretary Punjab Khizar Hayat Gondal has ordered sprays in various parts of the city to be done twice to halt further growth of dengue mosquitoes. He said that a complete precautionary strategy would be adopted in this regard.

On the other hand second most affected city in Pakistan by Dengue is Multan where 6 more dengue hit patients were admitted in hospitals in past 24 hours and toll of patients has risen to 302 in the city.
