Art work of 36 young artists displayed at RAC

To provide platform to the young and talented of the region, Rawalpindi Arts Council (RAC) arranged a group painting exhibition here on Wednesday in which 36 young artists participated.

Member Punjab Assembly Lubna Rehan Pizada accompanied by Naheed Manzoor and Resident Director RAC Waqar Ahmed inaugurated the exhibition. The artists include Wahaj Ahmed, Fouzia Sohail, Sarah Khalid, Arisha Ali, Sonia Hafeez, Nazish Bahadur, Numra Iqbal, Mahnoor Qamar, Mariyam Mushtaq, Rahat Zarab, Amna, Aqsa Nageen, Rija Kanwal, Maham Fiaz, Asad Jadon, Iqra Nawaz, Laraib Mumtaz, Kazmin Abbas, Amber Ikhlaq, Sadaf Batool, Azhar Mahmood, Razia Sultan, Muniba Shoib, Farukh Jamil, Nouman Nawaz, Salma Bibi, Aruj Sheikh, Saadam, Samila Basharat, Muqadas, Shazia Akbar, Samina Razaq, Nida Habib, Serish Javed, Nili Khan, Sana Asghar and Sofia Hameed.

The students of RAC painting class showcased 260 art pieces including paintings, sketches and calligraphy while using pencils, poster color, water color, oil paint, mix media, pastel and charcoal.

Addressing the inaugural session, Lubna Rehan appreciated the work of the young artists and gave credit to the Council for training and providing this platform to young talent. Naheed Manzoor and Resident Director RAC Waqar Ahmed also addressed at the occasion. The exhibition will be opened till Saturday.
