Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has finalized arrangements for the conduct of first phase of local government elections in Punjab and Sindh provinces.
According to the Election commission, ballot papers have been handed over to the provinces.
The districts in Sindh where the local bodies polls are being held are Sukkur, Khairpur, Ghotki, Larkana, Shikarpur, Jacobabad, Kashmore and Qamber.
The twelve districts in Punjab that go to the polls in the first phase are Lahore, Faisalabad, Gujrat, Chakwal, Bhakkar, Nankana Sahib, Kasur, Pakpattan, Okara, Lodhran, Vehari and Bahawalnagar.
Meanwhile, electioneering is in full swing in twelve districts of Punjab and eight districts of Sindh. The contesting candidates are making last ditch efforts to garner the public support.
