Shehbaz Sharif visits earthquake affectees of Kasur

Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif visited Dostpura, Kasur, and met earthquake affectees and assured them all out help and assistance.

He went to the house of one Muhammad Ishaq who died due to roof collapse, and sympathised with the bereaved family. He also offered fateha for the departed soul.

The chief minister announced financial assistance of a total of Rs 1,300,000 for the earthquake affectees besides government job for the son of deceased Muhammad Ishaq. Talking to the bereaved family of Muhammad Ishaq and the people of the area, the chief minister said that he was deeply grieved over the losses due to earthquake and fully shared the grief of the families of the deceased persons. He said that earthquake affectees will not be left alone in the hour of need. He said that the Punjab government will extend all out help to the affected persons as well as take proper care of them. He said that rehabilitation work of earthquake affectees will be carried out on priority basis. He said that earthquake-hit people should not feel helpless as he is with them.

The chief minister said that this earthquake was the severest in the history of Pakistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has been worst affected. He said that government and people of Punjab are standing by earthquake affectees of KP and relief assistance is being sent by the Punjab government. Talking to the brothers and family of deceased Muhammad Ishaq, Shehbaz Sharif said that Punjab government will provide them all out help. He also gave a cheque of financial assistance to the heirs of deceased Muhammad Ishaq besides announced financial help for the marriage of his daughters. The chief minister also inspected the house that had collapsed due to earthquake and inquired from the people about details. He announced financial help for the owner of the house. Assembly members from Kasur were also present on the occasion.
