Two more death row prisoners hanged

Two death row prisoners were hanged on early Tuesday morning in the jails of Dera Ghazi Khan and Bahawalpur while execution of two convicts was postponed.

Double murder convict Abdul Majeed was hanged in the District Jail Dera Ghazi Khan. Abdul Majeed was executed for killing his brother and nephew in 2002.

The execution of death row convict Ibrar Hussain in the District Jail Toba Tek Singh was postponed after the rival parties reached a compromised agreement. Ibrar Hussain had killed Muhammad Akram in 1997.

Another double murder convict was hanged in the New Central Jail Bahawalpur while the execution of death row prisoner Khadam Hussain was postponed on court’s order.
