Residents of the twin cities have to suffer as water shortage crisis intensifies. Citizens are forced to purchase water tankers to meet domestic needs.

The citizens complained that Capital Development Authority (CDA) and WASA have failed to meet their water needs and they had to purchase water tankers which are an additional burden on the poor people. Water supplied through water tankers was polluted and not suitable to be used for consumption, they added.

They demanded of the district governments and authorities concerned to take notice of the situation and ensure solid measures for smooth supply of water in the twin cities.
