Agnieszka Radwanska has pulled out of the Kremlin Cup after winning the Tianjin Open to secure her place in the WTA Finals.
Radwanska emphatically beat Danka Kovinic 6-1 6-2 in China on Sunday to become the fifth player to book her spot in the season-ending showpiece in Singapore.
The world number six opted out of a trip to Moscow for next week’s Kremlin Cup, in which she would have been the top seed, after claiming her 16th WTA title.
Radwanska said after her latest triumph: “I’m excited to play in Singapore this year. I have good memories from last year – the fans are amazing, so I can’t wait to get out there and compete against the best players in the world.”
It will be the fifth year in a row that the 26-year-old Pole has featured in the WTA Finals.
