California – Our Facebook Correspondent: At the end of the first quarter of 2015 has acquired over 1.4 billion employees, further cementing its position as the largest company in the world, in terms of its employees.

“It’s a company bigger than any the likes of the world has ever seen,” says Professor Mark Smith, an economic historian at Harvard University. “Nothing, not Walmart, not the People’s Liberation Army of China, not the Indian Railways can come even close to it in numbers of sheer size.”

What makes this workforce even more impressive a feat for Facebook to have pulled off is the fact that none of these employees take a salary.

“Facebook is primarily a media company and none of the people who produce that media for other people to come and visit the site for are paid. In fact, they work overtime, even on vacations, often working right till they go to sleep,” said Professor Smith, a Facebook employee himself.

“All of these are Facebook employees, who do other jobs part-time,” he added. “And that includes the Pakistanis who also work at Student and Papa Ki PrynCe$$.”
