A matriculation student died while his two companions were injured when a truck hit their motorcycle here on Monday.
Police said that the accident took place near Sukheki area in district Hafizabad where an over speeding truck knocked down a bike carrying three SSC students. One student of Grade IX died on the spot in the accident while two others sustained critical wounds. The truck driver managed to flee from the scene.
The body and injured were shifted to hospital for medico-legal formalities and the police after registering a case against the fleeing truck driver responsible for accident have started efforts for his arrest.
