  • Punjab CM says robust economic policies have improved economy

Punjab Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif said on Saturday the ruling Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) is taking serious steps to cope with the challenges faced by the country.

Talking to PML-N office-bearers, the chief minister said every necessary step was being taken to rid the country of the issues of terrorism, extremism, sectarianism and energy crisis that had caused huge economic losses.

Sharif said that due to solid economic policies of the government under the leadership of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, the national economy had improved and the foreign exchange reserves had exceeded Rs 20 billion.

He said the process of industrial development had accelerated and the trade and business activities had also increased. He further said that the government’s transparency and merit policy had yielded good results.
