Entry of unauthorised persons and vehicles into the metro bus track has been banned and violators will have to face up to three years prison term and fines.
The Punjab Mass Transit Authority (PMTA) has prohibited entry of all types of vehicles and unauthorised persons on the metro bus track and announced fines. According to the PMTA, Rs100 will be imposed on pedestrians, Rs200 on cyclists, Rs300 on donkey, bull and horse carts, Rs500 on motorcycle-rickshaw, Rs3,000 on motor car, Rs5,000 on wagon coaster, truck and tractor trolley.
In case of default of payment, the violators will have to serve three years in prison.
