Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Central Secretary-General Jahangir Tareen has said that the Quaid-i-Azam Solar Park will prove another Nandipur scandal for the PML-N government on which Rs16 billion have been wasted.
Talking to reporters the other day, Tareen alleged that development funds allocated for the uplift of south Punjab had been diverted to Metro bus projects in Lahore and Islamabad.
He claimed that the government’s administrative machinery, bureaucracy and ministers were engaged in the canvassing for the PML-N candidate in the by-polls of NA-154 constituency.
He demanded the deployment of the army in and outside all polling stations in Lodhran as he said that the district police and the local administration were supporting the PML-N candidate.
Denying that he was a defaulter, Tareen said the allegations levelled against him in this respect by Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif were false and unfounded as he was an eligible candidate to contest by-polls from the NA seat in Lodhran.
He claimed that the PTI had rolled back the politics of “muk mukao” and the results of by-polls on Oct 11 would prove that the 2013 general elections had been rigged.
He said that instead of hiding behind courts PML-N should fight in the election arena.
