An accountability court on Monday extended the judicial remand of Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) leader Qasim Zia till October 5.
During the hearing, Zia’s counsel told the court that his client had already filed a petition to return the money voluntarily, but officials of the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) were intentionally seeking adjournments, which according to him, was a clear violation of human rights.
The investigation officer submitted that the probe into the matter was underway, on which the court subsequently extended Zia’s judicial remand till October 5.
