At least nine persons of same family that included seven children and two women were killed when a tractor trolley plunged into a canal on Chashma Road in Dera Ismail Khan on Saturday.
According to rescue sources, 19 people of four Afghan families were onboard the tractor along with their luggage when the vehicle lost control while crossing Awan drain and fell into the canal.
Eye-witnesses state that seven children and two women drowned and died on the spot whereas the others were rescued by the locals.
