The aircraft of Punjab Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif had a narrow escape on Friday when it developed a technical fault.
The pilot succeeded in landing the plane at the airport after ten to fifteen minutes of terrible bumps and jolts.
“I thank Almighty Allah for saving my life,” said Shehbaz who was on his way to Islamabad from Lahore to attend an important meeting on energy along with his colleagues.
The chief minister, speaking to a group of reporters at the Lahore airport, said it was the result of the prayers of his mother and the masses.
He said he would continue serving the people till his last breath. Meanwhile, an enquiry into the incident has been ordered.
