A target killer apprehended from Liaquatabad area has made key confessions on Friday saying that unit office used to provide them weapons while unit in-charge would issue instructions.
Abid was arrested from Liaquatabad after which he confessed to have killed as many as six policemen. He said that another seven members of his group are involved in target killings whereas two were imprisoned in the recent past.
The police have apprehended a fake sub-inspector and seized police uniforms, explosives, grenades and extortion chits. At least three accomplices of the bogus security official managed to escape. Gulshan Iqbal area’s Superintendent of Police (SP) said that the arrested sub-inspector Shahzad Raza has confessed to role in target killings and extortion.
East’s Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) said that personnel have seized computers and advanced gadgets from the culprit’s residence. He further said that the felon has links with militants.
