A girl suffered severe burns when a man threw acid on her face after she refused his marriage proposal, police officials said on Thursday.
The incident occurred in Multan’s Syedan Wali Khoi area, where Jabbar said to be agitated over Nadia’s parents’ refusal to accept his marriage proposal, attacked the girl with acid while she was asleep.
The girl was shifted to a nearby hospital. Doctors said she suffered 20 per cent burns, but was out of danger. Jabbar has been arrested.
