Police on Thursday foiled an attempt of robbery at a private bank in Islamabad.
Police sources said that at least three robbers were trying to enter the bank by bulldozing the back wall when police officers arrived at the scene. The dacoits opened fire at the security officers and in the resultant firing one bandit was apprehended while two of his accomplices fled the scene.
The detainee was identified as Subhan, a resident of Dir. Police launched a search operation to arrest the accomplices.
