A woman died of dengue fever during treatment at a hospital on Wednesday.
According to details, Sharifan Bibi, resident of Chak No. 205, was shifted to Allied Hospital around 10 days ago after her condition deteriorated due to dengue fever.
She remained under intense care after she was shifted to the hospital but breathed her last on Wednesday. Seven more dengue patients are under treatment at the said hospital.
In Punjab, 271 dengue patients are under treatment at different hospitals of the province of which 210 belong to Rawalpindi, eight to Faisalabad and Sheikhupura each, six to Lahore, two to Toba Tek Singh, one from Attock, Narowal, Vehari, Sargodha, Bahawalpur, Rahimyar Khan, Kasur and Nankana Sahib.
