Sindh MPA, 2 other PPP leaders sent to prison over corruption

Sindh Member of Provincial Assembly (MPA) Ali Nawaz Shah and Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) leaders Khadim Ali Shah and Imtiaz Ali Shah were sentenced to prison by an accountability court on Thursday.

The three PPP members accused were sentenced for causing losses to the national exchequer buy selling land at inflated prices to the government.

Ali Nawaz Shah is sentenced to five years in prison, Khadim Ali Shah for four years and Imtiaz Ali Shah for three years.

According to a local media, a spokesman for the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) said the three accused who were out on bail have been arrested.
