The government on Monday approved a reduction in the prices of all the petroleum products for the month of September.
Petroleum Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbassi told media that after the approval of the summary sent by Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA), the petroleum products would be reduced by Rs 3 per litre.
The prices of petrol, kerosine oil, have also been decreased by Rs 3 and high Octane by Rs 1.02 per litre. The new prices will be effective from 12 am Tuesday.
Earlier, a summary from OGRA had suggested government to reduce petrol Prices by Rs 6.14, light diesel up to Rs 6.48 , high speed diesel up to Rs 7.4, while Kerosine oil up to Rs 7 per litre.
