The top officials of Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) called on Prime Minister Mian Nawaz Sharif on Sunday and took him into confidence regarding the arrest of 22 important figures of the country allegedly involve in corruption scandals.
As per media reports, the top officials of FIA, during the meeting, presented details about the important figures allegedly involve in corruption charges before PM and took him into confidence regarding conducting any legal proceeding against them. There is a chance of arrest of these important political personalities of the country in corruption charges within upcoming days.
Sources told that most of the important personalities involve in corruption charges have been associated with the former regime of Pakistan People’s Party (PPP), adding that PM was taken into confidence about the arrest of former president, two former PMs, three chairmen of Federal Bureau of Revenue (FBR), former information and education ministers of Sindh, including dozens of bureaucrats.
