Matter of principle
Lahore – Our Filmi Correspondent: In a move resplendent with patriotic fervour, local Lahori movie buff Umair Haq has decided not to watch the Pakistan-bashing Indian propaganda movie Phantom. Until a really good print is available on the torrent sites.
“The basic premise of the film is against my beliefs, so I cannot even ask the producers to take out some offending scenes,” said Haq. “Plus, I really hate watching poorly lit camera prints.”
Haq said that despite being a proud Pakistani, he enjoys Indian movies, as long as they fulfil two basic criteria. “It should have A/V = 10/10 on Pirate Bay,” he said.
Talking to reporters, Haq, an ophthalmology resident at the Mayo Hospital in Lahore, had a loud message for the Indian filmmakers and the Indian government: “As long as there are people like me living in Pakistan, remember one thing: there is no such thing as a good camera print, no matter how many times idiots like Harris_799 say ‘watchable copy, thanks!’ in the comments section.”
