The police arrested two butchers involved in selling donkey meat and recovered huge quantity of donkey meat during a crackdown here on Friday.
DSP Yar Muhammad Rind said that on a tip-off a team of district administration accompanied by police launched crackdown at a slaughter house near Haji Naseer Shah Graveyard in Nawabshah.
During operation the raiding team recovered huge quantity of donkey meat, hides and arrested two culprits. In the preliminary interrogation the detained culprits revealed that they have been selling donkey meat for the last one year.
The recovered donkey meat was disposed off and the police after registering a case against the detainees have started the investigation.
