Five suspects including a close relative of alleged al-Qaeda militant Abdul Ahad were arrested during search operation in Karachi on Wednesday.
Abdul Ahad and his accomplice were killed during raid on a house in Gulshan-e-Iqbal 13-D Block on Monday night. An intelligence officer identified as Major Mohammad Sajjad was also martyred during the clash.
The law enforcement personnel raided a residential apartment following tip off about presence of the suspects in the area.
The suspects were believed linked to a recent attack on bus that killed over 50 people near Safoora Chowrangi in Karachi.
