The Federal government has approved the celebration of 50th anniversary of Defence Day in a befitting manner.
A meeting to discuss the events to be held on the Defence day was held here Wednesday under the chairmanship of Defence Minister Khawaja Mohammad Asif and attended by Federal Ministers Pervaiz Rashid and Abdul Qadir Baloch and Secretaries for Defence and Cabinet.
The Day is celebrated on 6th September every year to commemorate the victory of Pakistan against India in the 1965 war.
It is expected that a special parade will be held in addition to exhibition of defence equipment and other functions.
