Interior Minister Chaudhary Nisar gave a rousing speech earlier this morning to congratulate the graduating Punjab Rangers at the Pakistan Rangers Academy.

Addressing the gathering at the 30th passing out parade of Punjab Rangers at Pakistan Rangers Academy, he said that their opponents were enemies of Islam who took money from “kuffar” and spread discord in the country. Admitting that their enemy was not always visible, Nisar said that while fighting an invisible enemy was difficult, the problems Pakistan faced had to be tackled. “We can not lose this war,” he said. “We must win this war.” He added that the enemy was both cowardly and lacked any principles and that the rangers were the soldiers of both Pakistan and Islam.

“What kind of people are they,” he questioned, “who use the name of Islam and kill schoolchildren?”

The minister’s passionate speech was met with loud applause by the gathering. The minister also spoke to members of the press after the ceremony and touched upon various topics, including the attack on Muttahidda Qaumi Movement leader Rashid Godil and the Attock blast that killed Home Minister Shuja Khanzada.
