The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) former chief minister’s special assistant Syed Masoom Shah was sent on 12-day physical remand in the custody of National Accountability Bureau (NAB).
Masoom Shah was arrested on August 11 in the capital for alleged corruption, accumulation of illegal assets and illegal transference of property.
NAB filed a plea seeking Shah’s physical remand which was accepted by the Accountability Court (AC).
Separately, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) former minister for minerals, Ziaullah Afridi was presented before court after six-day remand expired. Afridi is being held for alleged corruption in as many as three cases including illegal mining in Abbottabad.
The court has extended Afridi’s physical remand by at least 13 days.
