As many as four suspects have been arrested on the basis of suspicion in Sadiqabad torture case on Sunday.
As per details, the security forces have failed to apprehend key suspects whereas the authorities have directed the officers to gear up the investigation.
Earlier, at least six culprits on Saturday are reported to have brutally tortured a local for three days before leaving him unconscious in the open.
The incident has been reported from Lateefabad area where six persons, Rana Manan, Billu Mazari, Shani Mughal, Rana Farhan and Sultan Mehmood among another forcefully took Malik Zaryat to a nearby farmhouse in Machi Goth.Culprits baton charged the man and got him bare-naked at gun point. The culprits also made a video of their heinous crime.
Zaryat was given undrinkable water all three days. Rana Manan and aides asked Zaryat’s family to pay ransom money worth Rs 1 lac.
Punjab Police inspector general (IG) has taken notice of the report and a case has been registered against nine mentioned criminals and 10 unidentified persons.
Rahim Yar Khan District Police Officer (DPO) Tariq Mastoi has been ordered to submit a report. Mastoi, while talking to media, said that all the criminals involved in the incident have been identified.
