Gen Sharif assures Chitral flood affectees of continuation of relief activities

Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel Sharif visited flood affected areas of Chitral on Wednesday, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) reported.

According to DG ISPR, Gen. Sharif was given a detailed briefing by the local military commanders on rescue and relief efforts by the Pakistan Army, FWO and Frontier Corps.

The COAS spent some time with flood affectees and assured them continuation of relief activities by the Army till situation is fully restored.

He also directed FWO to keep the communication infrastructure of Chitral with rest of the country open.

The COAS lauded the tireless efforts of FWO, FC KPK, Army troops and Army Aviation, who are working round the clock in rescue and relief operations.
