The family of newborn twins Tuesday held a protest demonstration against death the doctors for showing alleged negligence resulting in their death.
Shan, father of the deceased children, told journalists that he had admitted his two newborn sons to Nishtar Hospital Multan a couple of days ago due to declining health condition. He alleged that doctors did not properly treat the children which resulted in their death.
A large number of people including the enraged family members and relatives held a strong protest outside the Nishtar Hospital and blocked Nishtar Road by burning tyres and placing hurdles.
They chanted slogans against doctors, administration of hospital and demanded the provincial government and authorities concerned for strict action against the responsible. Later, police officials visited the protestors, assured them of the action after which they dispersed.
