Two cousins were killed while one youngster sustained wounds when unknown armed men opened fire in the wee hours of Monday.
According to police sources, the alleged dacoits riding a motorcycle opened fire in Raja Sultan area, killing a man identified as Raja Ansar and his cousin. A youngster, son of Raja Ansar, suffered wounds in the incident. The assailants managed to flee from the area.
Soon after the crime, police reached the spot and undertook a search operation.
The dead were shifted to a district headquarter civil hospital in Raja Bazzar for post-mortem while the injured was also rushed to the hospital for treatment.
