Pakistan Navy flood relief operation MADAD continues in the low-lying areas of Sindh.
During the last 24 hours, Pakistan Navy search and rescue teams have evacuated 1500 men, women and children stranded in the marooned areas of Kharipur, Ghotki, Sukkur, Pannu Aqil and the adjoining areas.
In addition, a consignment of 10 tonnes of relief goods has also been dispatched to Ghazi Ghat area of District Dera Ghazi khan for distribution amongst the flood victims. Pakistan Navy medical teams are also fully geared up to provide medical treatment to the flood victims in the wake of epidemics likely to erupt in the affected areas. Pakistan Navy filed commands are in constant liaison with PDMA and other civil authorities to respond to any flood-related emergency.
