Three death row convicts hanged in various Punjab jails

At least three death row prisoners were hanged in various Punjab jails on Thursday.

Two death row inmates, Jahandad Khan and Muhammad Arshad were executed at Rawalpindi’s Adiala Jail for murdering a man in 2002. A condemned prisoner, Muhammad Tariq was sent to the gallows at Sargodha’s District Jail for killing a man in 2000.

A convicted killer, Israr met his fate in Bahawalpur’s Central Jail. He had murdered a man over a land dispute in 2002.

A sessions judge postponed the execution of two murder convicts in Jhelum’s District Jail for a few days. Convict, Aslam and his brother Azam had killed a man in 1999.
