Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader and prominent lawyer Hamid Khan on Monday said that he always believed that his party had no evidence against former chief justice of Pakistan Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry.
Talking in a TV interview, Hamid Khan said that although PTI had no evidence against Chaudhry, he did believe that the former CJP had played a role in alleged rigging in the general elections. “However PTI failed to highlight the alleged role played by the former CJP,” he said.
The PTI leader also said that he had been kept out of the discussions on rigging evidence, and blamed Jahangir Khan Tareen for the legal defeat suffered by the party in the judicial probe into rigging allegations.
