The CDA has launched crackdown on officers patronising illegal construction and encroachments.
In the first phase, two assistant directors have been made OSDs and an inquiry has been ordered against them. Assistant Director Iqbal Mughal was incharge of the Park Road area and Assistant Director Badar Munir was holding charge of G-sector series. Encroachments had been fast growing in the respective areas of these two officers, a source said while commenting on their relegation.
Several shops, plazas, marriage halls, offices and show rooms have illegally been constructed in Sector G-12 alongside the Kashmir Highway. “These two officers had been patronising illegal constructions for long and all encroachments have been made in connivance with these two officers,” the source said. According to the source, the director security has been ordered to conduct an inquiry against them besides checking assets of these two officers.
