Three Rangers’ officials sustained minor injuries as their vehicle plunged into Daharwa canal near Dharki area of Ghotki on Sunday.
According to details, the vehicle was enroute to the city when it fell into the canal while saving a motorcycle coming from the front.
The injured officials were shifted to hospital for medical treatment while rescue officials recovered the vehicle from the canal.
NINE INJURED IN MUZAFFARGARH:
In the meanwhile, at least nine people were injured when a passenger bus overturned in Muzaffargarh on Sunday.
Rescue sources said an over speeding passenger bus turned turtle at Shahi Jamal Road, resulting in injuries to nine passengers. Police and rescue personnel reached the scene of accident and started rescue activities. The injured were rushed to hospital where condition of some wounded people was stated to be serious.
TWO DEAD IN KHANDKOT:
Separately, two motorcyclists died and another was injured after being hit by an over speeding trailer in Khandkot on Sunday.
Police said that an over speeding trailer knocked down a motorcycle carrying three people near Khandkot Bypass. Two motorcyclists died in the accident while another sustained critical wounds who was rushed to hospital for treatment. Trailer driver escaped the scene after the accident.
THREE DEAD IN GUJRAT:
In the meanwhile, at least three people died while another was injured when a jeep overturned on Sunday.
Rescue sources said that a passenger jeep carrying four people turned turtle due to over speeding near Ali Chak, at GT Road in Gujrat.
Three jeep riders died on the spot while another sustained wounds. The bodies and injured hailing from Bhimber area of AJK were shifted to hospital for medico-legal formalities.
